What Welding Nevada Offers


Welding Nevada offers students the ability to learn to weld in order to become proficient welders, meet industry standards, and to ultimately become a certified welder. We offer courses that are designend for 1st time beginners with no expierence, all the way through advanced welders that may need to bush up on their skills or take a refresher course before a certification test or job interview

We offer instruction and certification training in structural steel on the following welding types:

SMAW (Stick welding)

GMAW (MIG welding)

FCAW (Flux Cored welding Dual-Shield)

GTAW (TIG welding)

Class Schedule



Courses are scheduled at convenient times-typically mornings and afternoons-so you can gain practical training without disrupting your daily routine. Our Sessions are usually 4 hours in length. If you can dedicate 8 hours a week to our course you can complete a course in 4 Weeks!

F.A.Q. (Frequently Asked Questions) for New Students and Prospective New Students

Q: What equipment do I need in order to take the class?

A: All you need is your own set of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). That includes safety glasses, welding hood, boots (steel toe, slip on preferred), welding jacket or sleeves, and welding gloves. All of the other equipment such as machines, torches, gas, metal, etc. will be provided by the school.

 

Q: How experienced is your instructor?

A: Our instructor DeCall Thomas has been a welder for over 30 years and has over 30,000 hours of experience. He is the very definition of an expert welder. He is fully committed to transferring his vast knowledge to his students so that they can have the skills of an entry level welder.

 

Q: How long does the class take to complete?

A: On Average students complete our course in as little as 4 weeks!

 

Q: What is the schedule for your students like?

A:  We are open Monday through Thursday 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM.

 

Q: Do you have night classes?

A: No.

 

Q: Do I need any previous experience as a welder to become a student?

A: No Previous Welding Expierence Needed.

 

Q: What does the course consist of?

A: All of the time in the building is devoted to shop work and advancing your skills. It is a Hands on Learning Experience. You will be welding within the first hour.

 

 

Q: Do you accept FAFSA/GI BIll?

A: Currently we are not eligible for either of these.
